The famous Bridge of Sighs was the only connection between the Doge's Palace and the Prisons. The prisoners had to go over this bridge to go to the venetian prisons.
The Bridge of Sighs is not a romantic Bridge! It's a sad bridge where so many people saw the last light of their life.....
